Information for Staff applications

We are always looking for new employees, but the requirements are high and few people are suitable to fill this position. Being a staff member is a long-term commitment and few people know what they are committing to.

Requirements:
  • Be prepared to commit for at least 3 months. Seriously, this is not a job you can take and quit after one month.
  • You must have been registered for 3 months and have at least a few months of online time on your profile.
  • You should be prepared to spend at least 1 hour online per day actively moderating, if necessary. Sometimes more or less depending on the circumstances.
  • You must have a positive reputation, not have received warnings and always have followed the rules of the forum. You’re supposed to be enforcing our rules.
  • You must be at least 16 years old. You may be asked to provide proof. No exceptions will be made, sorry. This forum is for adults only.
  • You should be ready to use voice communications, preferably via Telegram or Discord. Don’t apply if you are shy at the microphone. We don’t bite. (Well... sometimes I do, but not a lot.)
  • Maintain a positive and respectable position in the community. You must be appreciated, but also mature and worthy. You will represent us.
  • You should focus only on the Raid forums. This means that you will have to give up any positions you might hold on other sites, otherwise it could be a conflict of interest.
  • Correct grammar. If I can’t understand what you wrote, chances are other members won’t. We don’t want that.
Questions:
  1. Have you met the requirements listed?
  2. Who are you, what do you do and how did you find our site?
  3. Do you have previous experience as a moderator?
  4. What is the most important thing you have learned since you are on the forums?
  5. Why would you want to be a staff member on the forums?
  6. What would you gain by being a staff member?
  7. What would the community gain if you were a staff member?
  8. What is your favorite section on the site?
  9. If you could choose a section to moderate, which one would it be?
I won’t ask you to elaborate further, but keep this in mind:
If your application is not interesting and lacks details, I will not be interested or inclined to choose yours from among others. Even if less can sometimes say more, I still need to know more about you and what you have to offer.
